El 11 de septiembre se pone a la venta ‘The Kinks at the BBC’

El próximo 11 de septiembre se pone a la venta una caja limitada que contiene cinco discos compactos más dvd que recoge una serie de grabaciones inéditas de The Kinks que han sido extraídas de los archivos de la BBC.

Una recopilación de apariciones en la BBC que se ha hecho posible por la participación de los fans ya que muchas de las apariciones de The Kinks, como de la mayoría de grupos que han pasado por la cadena, se borraron tras su emisión en antena y se han recuperado gracias a las grabaciones realizadas por los seguidores de la banda de los hermanos Davies.

Esta colección totalmente apoyada por la banda, reúne una serie de sesiones y grabaciones en vivo de toda su historia desde los primeros pasos en Pye hasta sus días de mayor gloria. The Kinks at la BBC podría ser considerado como un grandes éxitos alternativo.

En la edición deluxe se incluye además un DVD con apariciones en Top of the Pops y Old Grey Whistle Test, además de otras actuaciones de toda la carrera de la banda. El set se acompaña con un libro de 32 páginas con notas de Peter Doggett, que cuenta la historia de la banda en la BBC. También estará disponible en un doble cd con lo mejor del audio del box-set.
